About the Faculty

Amit Kishore is an Adjunct Professor in the Digital Marketing area at MICA in Ahmedabad, where he has been teaching digital marketing to the post graduate class since Jan 2013.

Other than being a faculty in the PG program at MICA, Amit teaches in the Advanced Certification Program in Digital Marketing for working professionals offered by MICA in partnership with UpGrad. He also conducts Management Development Programs (MDPs) for corporates on various topics in digital marketing domain. Some of the companies he has trained are Turner Broadcasting, Viacom18 Media, Amway, Bangalore International Airport Ltd., Cadila Pharma, Maxlife, Welspun, Indian Oil Corp, and Publicis Group.

Apart from his academic pursuits, Amit is a Partner at Unnagi Consultancy & Training, a partnership digital marketing consultancy firm. Unnagi works extensively with clients across UK/US & Middle East helping them set up digital presence via websites and digital promotions. Unnagi also runs digital marketing training programs for solopreneurs, SMEs and working executives.

Amit has over 25 years of experience in both traditional & digital marketing/media having worked across geographies & cultures in India, Middle East, Southeast Asia, and West Africa. In his last job, he was the CEO of PlanB Digital, a boutique digital marketing agency, based out of Bangalore. Before this, he was the Regional Strategy Director at Drive Dentsu in Dubai where he was responsible for media strategy for client brands across the MENA region.

After graduating in 1997, he has worked in Asia and Africa in various fields within the marketing domain with companies like MediaCom / Grey, AC Nielsen, TNS Global, ZenithOptimedia, Lintas, Universal McCann, Omnicom Media Group, Infosys, Dentsu, etc.

Amit also mentors young entrepreneurs in a United Nations program run by SDSN Youth which prepares young entrepreneurs around the world who, though their innovative business ideas, are working towards achieving United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. Till date, he has mentored youths in Russia, Nigeria, Indonesia, Rwanda, Zambia, Uganda & Bangladesh.

Amit is currently enrolled as a Doctoral Scholar in the School of Management at CMR University in Bangalore, India where he is working towards a PhD degree. His thesis, titled “Multi-Touch Attribution Modelling: A Study of The Effect Of ‘Depth of Interaction’ On Sale” is attempting to use post click behaviour factors for a better predicting digital advertising model.

In his free time, Amit likes to play golf & tennis to relax. He is a biker, trekker, traveller and a PADI-certified scuba diver.
