Ramaiah Institute of Management’s Research and Consulting department as a part of its research initiatives opens up possibilities for collaborations locally, regionally and globally. These connections have created opportunities for advancement of many kinds, including associations with corporate to work as consultants. The Institute has robust systems and processes to undertake ‘Consultancy’ Projects and to initiate and implement ‘Industry Interaction’ and ‘Industry Academia Engagement’ activities. The institute has highly talented and qualified Faculty team to address research and consulting challenges of virtually any nature in the domain of management. It would be our pleasure and privilege to actively collaborate with you as your ‘Knowledge Partner’ and execute mutually beneficial assignments.

The Institute has a dedicated Research and Consultancy Cell which has the following mandates:

  • Solicit Research & Consulting Assignments from Corporates/Institutions/Governments/Non-Government Organisations (NGO):

    Seek consultancy projects in market-driven and important areas such as Finance, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources (HR) and International Business (IB) including content development for management domains. By generating research for the various industries/sectors as per the consulting requirements for Government and Corporate.

  • Conduct Research Seminars & Conferences:

    Organization and conduct of National and International Seminars, Conferences on various contemporary issues.

  • Publish Research Journals:

    'M.S.Ramaiah Management Review' is a bi-annual research journal in the management discipline. It brings out research based articles on general management contributed by academicians and practicing professionals. The journal is monitored by Research Committee assisted by an Editorial Committee and Editorial Advisory Committee. The institute also collates research papers on contemporary issues and publishes the same in ISBN books.

  • Tie-ups with Knowledge Partners:

    The Institute has tie-up with corporate, national and state level entities as knowledge partners. The Institute through its research center has initiated and signed Memorandum of Understanding with national and state level entities as knowledge partners like-

    1. National Entrepreneurs Network (NEN)-

      NEN is a flagship initiative of Wadhwani Foundation, and has been a pioneer is building entrepreneurial eco- system across the country

    2. Engineers, Manufacturers Entrepreneurs Resource Group (eMERG) -

      a not for profit organization is dedicated to training and the dissemination of information to women entrepreneurs and professionals. In its efforts in this direction, eMERG partners with several Government and Non-government departments in order to reach out to women entrepreneurs who can be part of the growing community of Women in Technology, Business, Professions and Services. And

    3. Association of Women Entrepreneurs (AWAKE) -

      Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Karnataka is a not-for-profit, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Bangalore, India, working towards ' Empowerment of women through entrepreneurship development to improve their economic condition &'.

    4. Edge Infosys UK –

      RIM has signed a MoU with Edge Infosys, Cambridge UK as a knowledge partner for period of I year. Under this MOU RIM would execute Research Assignments, provide Consultancy Services present research papers on select topics of business interest to M/s.Edge Infosys, UK. RIM students would be provided short internships and empirical study projects by Edge Infosys UK.

  • Explore Collaboration with Foreign Universities:

    We believe in developing mutually beneficial long term relationships with Universities and Institutes across the globe. This includes Faculty and Student-exchange programs, Organizing Seminars and Conferences jointly, Conducting Collaborative Research and thereby facilitating Research Publications.The Institute has International strategic alliances and collaborations with-

Chetana Winter school

Chetana Winter School is a project which is initiated by the Department of IT, BT and S & T, Government of Karnataka. This program is targeted at enabling Girls who have topped in Secondary School Examination from Government Schools across Karnataka to educate, empower, mentor and support them. As a part of the Chetana project the Institute trained and mentored the students identified by the Government.

Ramaiah Incubation Center:

Encouraging Entrepreneurship and Facilitating Start-ups by setting up an Incubation Centre: We believe in becoming a net job creator in the long run!

The Institute has started its Incubation Center on 31 st August, 2018 in collaboration with GIGA (Giving Indian Global Access) Innovation Center.

Incubation center at Ramaiah Institute of Management (RIM) known as Ramaiah Incubation Center (RIC) in collaboration with M/s. GIGA is focused on providing a whole new start-up ecosystem for the young entrepreneur. The RIC shall be a platform where ideas can be nurtured into viable businesses and the budding entrepreneurs can get some expert mentoring and help to find initial networking. RIC shall help new and start-up companies to develop as big Entrepreneurs.

Ramaiah Institute of Management, Bangalore, is a pioneer institution committed to management education and one of the leading business schools in India.
